Updated Status - How Bad/Good Is It?
October 16, 2021
We want to present an accurate picture of the current state of the Coronavirus and how it affects us specifically. Our goal is to provide good information without an agenda.
The new cases of Coronavirus locally are unpredictabled. The cases in Minnesota are still on the rise. Currently have some of the highest numbers all year.
Nationally, the number of new cases are trending downward. While the numbers are elevated, they are not close to the levels around Thanksgiving of last year.
The severity of coronavirus is still real. It is easy to be gripped by fear. Keep the news you hear in perspective. The survival rate has remained constantly high for Minnesota and our counties for 2021. The survival rate in Minnesota is still 98.8%.
Our conclusion: be vigilent. Wash your hands; don't touch your face. If you have symptoms, take them seriously. Be aware of your surroundings, especially if you are in public places.
This is how the numbers compare since January.
